Senior Advantage Information

Linda Manter is a Seniors Real Estate Specialist.

To obtain the senior specialist designation, a licensed real estate counselor must complete a training course offered by the Senior Advantage Real Estate Council (SAREC), a national organization that provides educational materials and information relative to generational marketing skills, tax reforms and financial planning aimed at seniors.

The course covers such topics as reverse mortgages, estate planning and tax implications for the over-55 client, as well as how to advise older seniors on such options as buying or renting another property, or moving to housing known as assisted-or independent-living, as well as local retirement communities.

To help clients, Seniors Real Estate Specialists develop resource lists of senior friendly attorneys, estate and financial planners, bankers, accountants, social service agencies, home inspectors and appraisers, moving companies and even names of people in the area who organize estate sales. They also work with family members and other specialists to help simplify the transaction.

The commitment in obtaining the professional SRES (Seniors Real Estate Specialists) designation is proof of your Realtor’s interest in and involvement in senior housing issues. Linda Manter is one of fewer than 1% of all REALTORS with this professional designation. With her 17+ years of real estate experience, knowledge and personal involvement, Linda stands ready to make your move as trouble-free as possible.
